Greeting in the name of Jesus Christ! My name is Jose Martinez and the purpose of this message is to introduce myself & give a brief background about ourselves; recently God called me and my wife Nelly Martinez to join Global Teen Challenge to serve in Latin America and the Caribbean Region.
We will serve in areas of new country development, training leaders and sustainability development. God has also opened a door to establish us in Sapulpa, Oklahoma where I am serving as Executive Director of Green Country Teen Challenge Men’s program.

I was born in Puerto Rico and my wife Nelly Martinez is from Mexico. We were married in 2004 and we have been serving as Teen challenge missionaries with Teen Challenge Dominican Republic for the last 10 years; directing both the Men’s and the Women’s programs.

I entered Teen Challenge in 2001 after being involved in gangs and living a life of addiction for much of my youth. In 1999, I was charged with violent motor vehicle theft and was facing 16 years in prison. While I was in prison, God worked on my behalf and opened a door for me to enroll into Teen Challenge in 2001. With God giving me the strength, I graduated from Sanford, Florida Teen Challenge in 2002 and then went on to graduate from Teen Challenge International Ministry Institute in Jacksonville, Florida 2003-2004.

In 2004, I became a Certified Minister of A/G in the South Eastern Spanish District (now FMDC). I continued my credentials through the Dominican Republic A/G council. In 2012, by the grace of God, I became an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God in the Dominican Republic Council. My wife Nelly is also a Certified Minister.
We will be serving at Oklahoma Teen Challenge and simultaneously serving Global Teen Challenge. Due to this juxtaposition, we passionate with community development, churches and outreach efforts to the different cultures. We aim to provide a proven solution to life controlling problems through the Teen Challenge ministry. Due to this, we would like to serve with our testimony, spiritual gift and with full capacity with the favor and grace of God.
Today there are more than 15 million addicts in Latin America and the Caribbean and together we can be a change factor. Would you prayerfully consider joining us by putting hope within reach of every addict. Also you can go online and see our website @

God bless you
